“Our planet and youth are telling us the same story. Vital connections have been severed between human beings and nature; within nature itself; and between people, religions, governments and commerce.” - Paul Hawken, Environmentalist and Entrepreneur
We are at an “all hands on deck” moment in history. We need to come together to rapidly find and scale solutions that regenerate the relationships between human beings and with nature. This begins not only with each other or out in nature, but deep inside ourselves and then ripples out. It is our honor to invite you to a unique afternoon and evening where we will journey through the farm, the vines and the human mind to explore the common thread that links the amazing regenerative capacities of human beings, communities, and nature.
At the deepest level there are elegant, unifying principles that explain how we can align ourselves with the power of nature to rapidly heal our greatest social and environmental challenges. What can we be doing differently, right now, inside ourselves, in our businesses, our communities, and in nature to unleash this regenerative power? By connecting with thought leaders and change-makers, soil and food, and with fresh ideas, it is our aim to ignite a deep sense of hope within you that we can and we will create a more beautiful world.
Why a learning experience and fundraiser?
While they say money runs the world, we feel strongly that IDEAS run the world. Money is just a tool to make our ideas come to life. So we’ve designed the event not as just a fundraiser, but a way to spark new ideas and give you a meaningful experience of the work we do. We want to shift hearts and minds, build relationships, and raise money. It is our hope that you leave the event with new connections and a clearer sense for how to participate more boldly in the bettering of our world.
EXPERIENCE
Walk through Buttonwood Farm, a legacy farming and winery property in the Santa Ynez valley with a historic peach orchard, while learning about regenerative agriculture and how to listen to nature with winemaker Max Marshak and director of farming and sustainability, Mike Vining.
LEARN
Arriving at the scenic pond overlooking the valley, we'll have an interactive experience with the Rebels for Peace, youth leaders from South Side Chicago, exploring how the mind is much like the soil, and communities can only heal when biodiversity and nature’s innate resilience are nurtured.
SUPPORT
Put on your finest threads and join us for a formal dinner and fundraiser at Roblar Winery. Featuring farm to table cuisine by Chef Cham alongside wine pairings from winemaker Max Marshak. Learn more about the work of One Solution, how you can support our mission and why visionary leaders and donors are already doing so.
