The current state of the world is unacceptable given the money, education, technology, and medical advancements that many of us have access to. Why aren’t we doing better? Whether you’ve thrown your energy into business, policy, aid work, or medicine, you can likely resonate with the feeling there’s got to be a better way!
That's True. There is a better way.
"The world we have created is a product of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking." - Albert Einstein
Join us February 2nd 2017 for a day of exploring a better way forward for humanity. Going to the source of an issue is the only way to solve it, fully and permanently. Until we get to the source, we will forever be being dealing with recurring symptoms…hence the pervasive frustration about the current state of the world. The source of every global issue is ultimately the human mind.
There is an emerging understanding of the mind that is slowly, but surely sweeping the globe and catapulting stagnant issues toward unprecedented, positive change. This understanding is transforming poverty-stricken communities in the United States, prison systems in the UK and US, addiction, education, and UN work in Africa, to name a few.
But this understanding needs to go farther, faster. For that, we need your help, in the form of innovative ideas, introductions, philanthropy, creativity and bold action.
We are gathering an intimate group of game-changers, filmmakers, and brilliant thinkers for a day of exploration about how to achieve a vast but vital global goal: illuminating a new understanding of the mind as the key to solving global issues.
"As a long-time UN Policy Advisor and Capacity Development Advisor (with UNDP), I have worked with many of the most severe problems humanity faces today by providing support to leaders in governments and aid agencies. What has become evident is the main problem all these leaders face originates in the mind. Helping these leaders shift their mind-sets has proved to be the most effective way to bring about real and lasting change. That is exactly what One Solution expands upon, and this is by far the most promising approach I have seen so far!"
Mara Gleason is the co-founder of One Solution. It is Mara’s life passion to ignite a new understanding of the mind that will enable profound change toward a more peaceful, sustainable, and prosperous world.
Throughout her career, she has worked with Russian physicists, young kids, prison inmates, companies of all size like Microsoft, as well as the US Army, Marines, and the NHL. She has observed that everyone has a mind, and everything in our individual and collective world profoundly changes when we understand it and use it more effectively. Mara graduated with a Master’s degree from Columbia University in 2006.
Eirik Grunde Olsen is the co-founder of One Solution. Eirik has been fascinated by the relationship between the mind, human capability, and global issues since his experience serving in the Norwegian military and deployment in Afghanistan. After completing his military service, he spent several years studying various physiological and mental approaches. In 2011, he came across an new understanding of the mind which showed him the missing key to the solving complex global issues at the source. He spent the next years working from this new understanding and growing Scandinavia’s largest organization committed to sharing this understanding.
Stephanie is the program director for We Are the Solution, One Solution’s multimedia youth initiative. Stephanie has 13 years experience in international development and education with NGOs, the private sector, and the United Nations. In her five years serving Palestine refugees in Gaza with the United Nations, she supported a humanitarian effort with a $100 million budget and launched the UN’s first satellite channel in the Middle East, which originally provided educational and human rights based programming to more than 200,000 children in Gaza. Today, the channel is viewed by people from 20+ countries in the region and is providing emergency education to millions of Syrian refugees.
"This is the solution to every global challenge. With a new understanding of the mind, war would simply not exist. Crime would no longer make sense. Chronic stress would be a thing of the past and mental health would be the norm. Bullying would end. Gender equality would be a given. Domestic and child abuse would be rare. Inefficiencies in business and in the operation of international organisations would all but disappear. The millions of dollars spent on trying to solve the problems in these fields would be saved, and the world’s leaders – and indeed all of us as ordinary citizens – could get on with creating a world that worked for everyone and in which everyone could thrive."

"It is clear to me that a deeper understanding of how the mind really works is the key to solving virtually every world, personal, and business problem that persists today. I’ve made it my personal mission and my company’s mission to teach as many people as possible how our lives are created from the inside-out so we can evolve and leave the world a better place for generations to come. If you’re on a similar quest, you owe it to yourself and those you serve to attend One Solution events."
We picked you. We hope you take it as a compliment, because we do.
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
